Summary

The writer talks about how we can save our planet. He thinks it is not easy to find the difference between the importance of our problem and the weediness of our response so far. Until 10,000 years ago, the climate would change unusually. Therefore it was very hard to develop agriculture and crops could not be harvested in that climate. Human beings were forced to the meat. After that the climate stay stable and humans could stay down too. In that period of climatic stability farming and cities were developed.
Because of the pollution of the atmosphere, there is a coming up danger. This will make the climate fluctuate violently again.
The writer believes that the individual efforts for saving the planet are not enough and not even the beginning of the solution. He thinks government should put laws in order to force us to shift towards cleaner behavior.
He mentioned example to prove his believes. Green campaigners have encouraged the Mayor of London to force SUV drivers for a punishment. Therefore many of them shift to greener cars.
The writer mentioned why we should force people to do things which protect our planet. Since our personal freedom ends where you actively hurt the freedom of another person, we should do many tings to stop harming each other by pollution the planet.
At the end the writer mentioned that we do not need the fake-libertarian excuses, we need hard government legislation.

I agree with the writer in some points, the governments should put laws which force people to protect our planet. But this is not enough, because we need the people cooperation. We can not deny the fact that many people break many laws. Therefore, we need more efforts to make people realize the real problem and can easily cooperate with the governments.

Our earth is the green and full of life planet which you can see it from the space. Today the industrial revolution that is happing changes the face of our earth. The greediness and love of collect the money always guide the people to kill themselves and destroy their earth the place where they can live. We are really faces different problems threatening our live in this planet. Carbon dioxide emission, increase of energy consumption, eat more manufacturing food and using vehicles all these things pollution our environment.

However, we must find solutions immediately for this problem. Different establishments and cities put different solutions to reduce the carbon dioxide emissions. One of these solutions is the SDCJ project called the Cool City is very big project that protect our environment from pollution. This is the ideal model city, it’s divided into business and public zone, residential zone, culture and sports zone and resort zone these are the main four zones. This city is depends on the Solar powered plant farms is distribute around the city this plant supply the area by a clean energy. In addition it’s using a friendly transportation ways for example, solar ships, and light rail transit and hybrid cars. The cool city use 15 varieties of techniques for instant, hydrogen system, cool water and ice storage tanks, mirror duct and trees. All these techniques help to reduce the heat and generate cool air inside buildings.

Finally these visions and projects are play as a green spots will distribute around the world and work as a filter that will help to reduce the pollution and clean our earth.

My opinion if they impalement these big projects and we saw it on real life will be amazing and that will put Abu Dhabi as the one of countries care about protect our earth from pollution and that will be a big step for UAE globally.

Our global footprint grew by __150___ between 1961 and 2003. It is now --25--% above the planet's biological capacity to support life on earth.

The WWF has developed an initiative called One Planet Living. It has ten guiding principles.

Masdar is going to be developed using these principles.

1. Zero Carbon: reduce the amount of CO2 emissions in the atmosphere by using new methods.

2. Zero waste: reduce waste by developing design that help people to re-use or recycling waste cleanly, and change the concept of waste to make it a part of the useful resource.

3. Sustainable Transport: is the way that reduces CO2 emissions by using of public transportation altern to private vehicles and airplanes.

4. Local and Sustainable Materials: recycle materials in constriction to reduce transport emissions and investment in local natural resources.

5. Local and Sustainable Food: change the form of food supply to positive point that reduce of pollution of manufacturing and transport that will keep our environment clean.

6. Sustainable Water: recycling the sewage water, re-use it and discover new methods that minimize the water consumption.

7. Natural Habitats and wildlife: protect and create new protection areas for wildlife to increase it that will help to increase the green areas in our plant that will ensure new habitats for wild animals and trees.

8. Culture and Heritage: encourage and protect the local cultural heritage to teach our children how people live in the past with simple ways without using equipment that polluted our environment.

10. Fair Trade: OPL community must effect on other communities both locally and globally.

Summary of An inconvenient truth
Al Gore, who was the next president of the United States of America, presented a very important problem in our life which is a global warming. He started thinking in the global warming issue when he was a college student. He believed and adopted the idea. According to that, he worked on this issue very hard by collecting the necessarily information form documented sources. Also, he traveled to several countries to meet some scientists in order to understand the problem very deeply. After he found and collected the important data, he went to different citied to present the slideshow to people, families, and students. Al Gore was very fazed. Because when he showed the issue to the Congress there was no answer about the problem. Although he did not find any answer, he did not give up. But he tried to understand the global warring more clearly. He believed that the global warring is a moral issue not a political issue.
Global warring happens when the earth keeps a lot of the infrared waves which make the earth so warm. This is occurring because the global warming pollution makes the atmosphere so thick. Al Gore illustrated the relationship between the carbon dioxide (CO2) and the temperature. When there is a lot of CO2 in the weather the temperature increases because it traps more heat from the sun. Moreover, when the oceans get warmer, the stronger storms are happened.
There are many impacts of the global warming in the real world. For example, the snows of the Kilimanjaro are melted, within the decade there will be no more snows of Kilimanjaro. In the Himalayas there is a problem since 40% of all the people in the world get their drinking water from rivers and spring system that are fed more than half by the melt water coming off the glaciers.
There are many bad effects of the global warming. For instance, new diseases like SARS are appeared. Also, some old diseases which were under control are come again. Other effects are flooding, drought, hurricanes, strong storm, and shortage of water.
AL Gore tried to explain to us what we have to do in order to decrease the impacts of the global warring in out life. If we use the electricity, passenger vehicles, transports, renewable technology, and carbon capture and sequestration more efficiency, we can reduce the global warming pollution. Furthermore, he clarified that each one of us is cause of the global warming and each of us has the choice to change that. Also, he mentioned important point that we can make choice to bring an individual carbon emission to zero.

Reaction
I think what Al Gore did is such a great thing. He did his best for many years to bring the truth for us. I appreciate his work and efforts.
Before I see this movie, I was thinking that I know about the global warming. But now I can see what is happening around us very clearly. I learned more things about this issue, like what is the global warming, the effects of it in the real world like melting the snow, spread and appears many diseases, shortage in the drinking water. Moreover, I know what I have to do to reduce the effects of the global warming in our life. It is not about me or you, it is about the whole world. Most of us know that the third world ware is goinig to be about water, so what is our duty in order to prevent that. We have to tell our family, friends about the real dangers since we live in the earth. Finally, I agree with AL Gore it is a morel issue.

My Carbon footprint

Our earth’s climates are affected by different impacts. These impacts include of pollution sources for instance, human activities varies manufactures, cars and different shapes of energy. But all these activate are controlled by the human who put his big carbon footprint.

Carbon footprint is the measure of human’s impact on the climate. I did a test on a web site to measure that and I find a very bad results. I was daze I got 3.5
And this result mean am livening in three earths and an half. My problem is eating too much food, travelling by airplane and driving my car. In food the problem was not eating only any but eating processed food that entered to long process and procedure to arrive to me. Because these process can polluted our earth it uses bad material to cover food and the energy used in these stages very costly and contaminated the environment.

To solve these problems I have to change my lifestyle to reduce for example, use public transportation, reduce travelling by airplanes and eat a natural food. We have to protect our earth and environment because it’s the place where we live and our generation in the future.

In conclusion, in my opinion governments have to make strict rule and regulations to stop selfish people from destroying our earth, live and themselves.

The manufacturing revolution covered all parts of our live activates. We pay the taxes of this development, but not only us the environment also. We are destroying our earth the place where we are living by pollution with our cars, factories, burning things and chemicals that affects the Ozone layer and destroy it. Our dream is to live our life in clean and safe environment by using of safe power and clean energy, we are dreaming of a cool city.

Because there are people don’t want believe the truth of different changes happening on our earth that destroy our live and environment and all these changes are because of our hands. We want to live is an easy way and don’t care if these conveniences destroys our live or not .We have to change our lifestyle to protect our earth from pollution we must think critically. Selfish people always think about built wealth in a short time and they doesn’t care if they through their rubbish on our earth because they see our earth as a rubbish bin.

What should be done in Abu Dhabi to make people more aware of the situation?

We should make the idea very clear to our citizen’s mind and give them knowledge about the series problem. Then we have to persuade them to change their lifestyle and what are the benefits of this change. We can also a develop our schools books to solve the problem from the beginning by adding courses which talk about how we can use to help us in this case. We have to make the future view very clear by using all facilities for example facts, numbers and rates to make it very clear how bad our live be in the future.

Lebanon one of the Arab country located in the Middle East with the famous capital is Beirut some people named this city the Paris of East. It's surrounded by five countries Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Israel and Cyprus. It was called in bible the city of milk and honey.

However, Lebanon gained independence from France In 1943. In that time the Christians Lebanese held the balance of power and the Muslims had little in the running of their country. The tensions started between the Christians and Muslims in 1975 when a member of radical Christian group attacked and killed a bus full of Palestinians in Beirut. After that the revenge killing and violence began to spread out of control all over the country. Then in 1982 the Israeli army attacked and invaded Beirut to remove the PLO Palilestinian Liberation Organization because the PLO organization was launched attacks against targets in Israel. The civil war in Lebanon ended in 1989 by Lebanese leaders by an equal offering a balance between Muslims and Christian in a new Lebanese parliament.

Finally, the recovering of the country is started from the war. And Beirut became one of the top cities in the world for the number of cars with the great night life and the most important thing it’s become the great city for tourist.

Indonesia is one of the countries that has variety nature resources. One of these wealth resources is very big areas of rainforest. It covers the area nearly size of France.

However, these characteristics attract other countries like China the world's second largest timber importer after the USA and the first wooden furniture exporter in the world. In 1998, China's worst floods killed 2500 people and damaged big areas of trees that were used in furniture manufacturing. After that, the china government went to recovering the problem by looking elsewhere to satisfy their appetite, and Indonesia has become the main supplier. But they use illegal way to recover their losses by smuggling the hard wood from Indonesia.

The problems were come from cutting big areas of hard wood trees by poor people in Indonesia those effects on the environment. Unorganized cutting down trees damaged hundreds of acres of nature forest and effect on the ecosystem also. That can raise the temperature in the world. This is one of the Global warming factors and there are chances of fire happen in these places.

To solve this problem Indonesia and China must agree to work together to stop illegal trade of hardwood timber. China is starting to plant more forests for export. In addition, Indonesia’s government has put restrict rules to reduce logging of hard wood trees.
